JOHANNESBURG – HYUNDAI East Rand has been recognised among the top 100 Hyundai dealerships worldwide after delivering strong sales, customer service and aftersales performance in a highly competitive global market.
The dealership was named in the 2026 Hyundai Global Top 100 Dealerships Awards, selected from a network of more than 3 000 Hyundai dealerships across the world.
The achievement makes Hyundai East Rand only the second South African dealership to receive the honour, following Hyundai Springfield Park, highlighting the growing competitiveness of the country’s dealer network.
During the 2025 financial year, Hyundai East Rand sold 1 824 vehicles and serviced 6 140 customer vehicles, performance credited with securing its place among Hyundai’s best-performing dealerships globally.
Hyundai Motor Company President and Chief Executive Officer José Muñoz congratulated the dealership, saying the recognition reflected its resilience and commitment despite a challenging year for the global automotive industry.
He cited market volatility, regulatory uncertainty, heightened competition and geopolitical pressures as key challenges that reshaped the industry, while praising the dealership’s contribution to Hyundai’s overall performance.
Stanley Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Automotive South Africa, said the award recognised consistent excellence across all aspects of the dealership’s operations.
“Hyundai East Rand has consistently delivered outstanding results across every area of the business. This recognition reflects their commitment to excellence and determination to exceed customer expectations,” Anderson said.
Dealer Principal Xolani Mpabanga attributed the achievement to the dedication of the dealership’s staff and the continued loyalty of its customers.
He said the recognition would inspire the team to continue raising standards and delivering exceptional service.
The annual Hyundai Global Top 100 Dealerships Awards recognise excellence in vehicle sales, customer satisfaction, aftersales service and overall business performance.
